Project Life Catch-up - May and a Freebie!

I love my May pages, I think because there is a bit more white in the mix.  I decided that more of my my journaling needed to be on a white background with colour behind the photos.  The pages are looking a little cleaner, which I like alot!

and the freebie... a couple of journal cards I made for this month!  Download HERE!

Project Life Catch-up - April the other half!

I've been using my Silhouette a little more and I must say I like the effect.  The cut files give the pages a bit of depth without too much bulk. Even though I am trying to keep my pages flat, I think I am going to need an other album before the year is out...lol!

Have a great day!

Red Sox, Walking and Cheers - AA Day 7

We got to watch a second game at Fenway Park around lunchtime today, Red Sox vs Yankees.  I though it only appropriate to wear my Red Sox...hehehehe.

What a crowd!  What excitement!  We seriously don't see or experience anything like this at home.

More gorgeous buildings...just can't get enough of these.
We had better seats today just behind home plate... Yankees didn't win again but I got some good action shots.

The guys in yellow were everywhere selling hotdogs, drinks, popcorn, fairy floss, pretzels, cracker jacks... you name it and there seemed to be hundreds of them.

Let me just say the drivers in America seem to be crazy, mad drivers... this maybe in part because we can't get the hang of the traffic signals and the cars drive on the wrong side of the road...hahahahaha! During peak hour times the police are out directing traffic and keep everything moving along.

More gorgeous buildings...
We managed to find the Cheers Bar, much to hubby's delight so decided to stop and have some dinner.

I am so absolutely rapt that Ketchup is everywhere not sauce and Lipton is the tea on offer.  We are still having a few problems with the language when ordering beverage.  Don't ask for a white tea... you will be looked at like you are a very strange person and they won't understand but if you ask for a black tea with milk you won't have a problem.  Coffee... while you maybe able to get a cup on any street corner beware, it is not the instant coffee we have at home.  Drip coffee is the norm or latte/cappuccino.  Oh and if you would like lemonade ask for sprite *wink*.
So we got up walked to Fenway Park, watched a game then walked to the middle of town for dinner at cheers.  After which we walked the long way back to the hotel instead of catching a cab or bus.  I'm telling ya we walked miles and miles but if we hadn't I wouldn't have got this shot of Boston at night.

Have a great day!

Beautiful Boston - AA Day 6

In for a cool change according to the weather app but so far Boston is warm.  We had to stop for food as soon as we got off the plane as I was starving... Boston airport food gets two thumbs up.  We grabbed a couple of salad rolls and figured if the food was good enough for the Pilots we saw lined up waiting to order lunch, the food must be OK.

Short cab ride to the hotel, checked in to a King Suite... which is HUGE compared to our last hotel  and time to find a Starbucks.  Lucky for us there is one right next door... we were a little worried that I would have trouble finding Lipton Tea in America so I bought teabags from home with me but Liptons is everywhere.  What we are having trouble finding is just regular instant coffee for Hubby...lol.

We took the long way back to the hotel after coffee, down beautiful tree lined streets.

The houses are all two story on small blocks with small gardens but they are just full of plants.

The houses are all shapes, all sizes, in a varitey of colours...

It was a very relaxing to walk down quiet suburban streets after the noise of LA...
Tonights baseball is Boston Red Sox vs New York Yankees at Fenway Park...
OMG!!! The carnival atmosphere before we even entered the park was electric!

So many people, so many cars, so much noise, so very exciting!!!

Hubs laughing at me coz I am taking photos of him while we are surrounded by so much going on...lol.

Hotdogs to go with the Baseball...

What a game, what a crowd, what a fantastic night...

Boston we LOVE you!

Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park and Times Square - AA Day 5

We have a free day today so we're up and off to do a bit of walking, destination is Brooklyn via the subway.  After a pleasant walk from the subway we strolled across the Brooklyn Bridge...

Can I just say the weather was glorious!

The views were fantastic... this is Manhattan Bridge.

and the end of Brooklyn Bridge...

Being so close to Central Park via a couple of train stops we decided to take a stroll down 5th Ave. Stopping to buy some cosmetics from the MAC store and Lindt Chocolates...lol.  5th Ave is amazing, so many big brand names all together in one place.  If you love fashion and pretty things then a walk down this street while in NY is a must.

As we made our way to Central Park for a horse and buggy ride, what should we spy but the Apple store... which meant it was time for a photo!

What could be more romantic than a horse and buggy ride through Central Park at dusk?  Nope can't think of anything.  Watching NY light up for the night was so pretty.   Unfortunately about 3/4 of the way into the ride it poured down rain, making us a tad wet...lol.

What better way to dry off but to walk right!  So we did, to Times Square to find dinner...

Where else would you want to eat in NY... Bubba Gump Restaurant was fabulous.  We only had to wait 15mins for a table and it was worth it.  The menu was everything shrimp of course cooked to perfection. While the meals were not huge, they were very tasty and the atmosphere...awesome!

We had an after dinner stroll around Times Square.  What a place!  The streets were packed with people and vehicles... and noise... and LIGHTS!!!  WHAT A PLACE!!!  I loved every single second of it!
